So....where to begin??? It is hard to capture our lives when we are so dang busy! I am busy with pediatric and women's health clinicals and Bricken is busy sweating to death on the rig or attending classes to help us pay my school bill. I do not give him enough credit for being an awesome husband and helping/giving up a lot to make my dreams become reality. He is trying to move up and become and Able Body Seaman, but some guys are wanting him train to be an electrician (boy, Dana Moore would love that!) I finally made the switch to a "day-shift" nurse! Yay! I was super nervous and still get antsy, but Bricken wanted me to go to days so bad. Who could ignore his cute begging? Not me! He actually made the switch to day shift yesterday too for the last two weeks of this hitch. We plan on spending all the time we can together when he gets home in July, because the last time he was home I was tooooo busy. Doing pediatric clinicals has really done two things for me 1. Want to specialize in possibly pediatrics?? 2. Have baby fever (#2 only makes Bricken laugh hysterically!) I know having a child is a gift from God and will happen on his time, but I know that neither I nor Bricken are ready for that stage. (For all of you who got tremendously nervous and needed an anti-anxiety pill after reading that, don't worry we started the five year plan last year so we have four more years to go!)
As you can see I put wayyy to many punctuation marks, but I never want any body to read my post and think for one second that I am anything but over the top ecstatic about everything that is going on in mine or in Bricken's life.
I am going to start putting up recipes--due to the extreme happiness that cooking brings me and my love to share the things I cook and actually taste good :)
Butterfiinger Cake
1.) Cook a devil's food cake (out of the box)
2.) Immediately after taking it out of the oven punch holes all in the cake
3.) Pour a whole container of caramel and a whole container of sweetened and condensed milk over the entire cake so that all the wholes are soaked
4.) Spread a large can of cool whip over the top
5.) Finely crumble up 2 butterfinger bars and spread over the top of cool whip
6.) Refrigerate & Your DONE
If any of you really know me you know I LOVE LOVE Quotes! So since I am going to get better at posting I am going to try to put a quote at the end of every post and try to put one that I think was the best fit for my day.
Quote of the day:
"The best years of your life are the one's in which you decide your problems are your own. You don't blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the President. You realize that you control your destiny." - Robert Ellis
